An ode to Autumn. . .

Autumn is here!!  This is my favorite season - the hues are so rich/vibrant and the air is crisp.
 This art journal layout is a my ode to fall.
The page started with random strips of washi and masking tape covered with a light layer of gesso.  
Stabilo pencil, acrylic paint and Neocolor crayons form the trees.

    Thanks for sharing your spunky little trees. I have never used washi tape, so when I googled it I found many tutorials on created digital washi tape and hope to make some for my digital mixed media pieces :).

    This is such a lovely piece, full of whimsy (and I'm a big fan of whimsy!) and beautifully coloured. I really like the shading round your trees that pops them off the page.

    love your whimsical composition !autumn trees in the city (the grid,musical and line columns remainds me a big city).the trees are radiant,festive like four tenors,lol

    Nice shapes and designs on the tress as well as the gorgeous vibrant Autumn colours all harmonized in a beautiful composition.

    Lovely pages and card you have been creating lately. I adore this page with its depth and lovely patterned trees. I too love autumn but it is over for me as we are now settled into winter. (-23C or -9F this morning)
