At first glance this girl looks as if she has paper pieced hair - but things are not always what they seem. . .
Started with a pencil sketch and inspiration that I got from this pin on Pinterest.
Taped the page down with some washi tape (removable paper tape) and cut out the hair areas out with an X-acto knife.
Glued down some faux money I picked up while in Seattle and made a paper sandwich.
The Moleskine paper is so thin that you can see the "money" through it but if it were a bit thicker you'd never notice. This technique is much easier than paper piecing - give it a try!
