Illustration Friday - ENTANGLED

"Man is the only creature whose emotions are ENTANGLED with his memory."
                                - Marjorie Holmes

This is the last of the pieces started while on vacation in Seattle - paint markers, graphite and pen.  I love when something comes together with so few elements.  I also am quite happy to be a painty mess with all manner of arty supplies out too. . .
Was thinking of layering this one onto the front of my new linen art journal (thanks, Selena) but at the last minute my art patron ("me") decided that it should be framed and put on the mantel.  There are loads of my "artistic" attempts littering our home - it is a good thing that my husband is so encouraging.  When I get tired of it I'll just switch it out with something else I've drawn.  Do you do that too?

  2. Beautiful zentangle... and great choice to keep for your mantle. I do have some of my art about the house, and switch it out at whim.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. Oh I so get the painty mess thing... I've been drawing this week and don't miss the mess. Love your tangled flowers...gorgeous!! In fact I have a large canvas over my mantle with color of course but all whimsical flowers! I will only hang pieces I love. Except one that my son in law loves I leave that one up. It's big too. I have re-framed a few small pieces I got bored of. However I still love my big canvases.

Enjoy your art...if you are anything like me....I dislike way more of my art, than I like!

    Happy ppf, thanks for sharing!

  10. Love the flowers in your tangle. Great job. I have most of my paintings in my studio. I did have some inside the house but after painting the living and dining room, decided against it and left them in the studio. Great job.

  11. What a wonderful piece! I think you should also make a print of it and put it on the cover of your journal. I too have tons of art pieces everywhere. I also have a husband that is very encouraging. Lucky us. Because I don't know what I would do with all my art!

  12. I showed your work to my daughter and she has been using zentangle ever since. I, on the other hand, found out about it in quilt group (cloth). Blessings, Janet PPF

  13. This piece looks beautiful framed. Your art is wonderful -- not litter at all. It's good to find a home for it so you can enjoy and honor your creativity.

  14. really nice zentangle! The way you have it framed goes perfectly with the traditional Halloween themed colors.

  18. Beautiful tangles! And isn't the art meant to be on display also? ;-)
I hang canvases and drawings on our walls all over the house, sometimes I change the paintings, mostly just for the change. I like to see my art framed and hanging on the wall :-)
    Happy PPF
