PDCC#46 - A Muse Solid Chrysanthemum

This elegant beauty is based on the Play Date Cafe Challenge #46 (Black, White and a splash of color) and the new A Muse Lounge Challenge #20 - A Sketch Challenge.  Do you love the black and white damask background?  It is A Muse Decorative Tape against white cardstock.  I've done this in the past with kraft cardstock too.  A pretty look plus easy - a winning combination in my book!
I love the look of the Solid Chrysanthemum embossed in copper against the black.  I've had that SU! embossing powder forever (at least 5 years) so I guess that it is good that I hoard things for later usage!
There is lots of room for interpretation in both challenges I've used - there are three colors to choose from in the PDCC Splash of Color challenge and there are three sketches to choose from in the A Muse Lounge - The possibilities are endless.  I know there is an end but I am not willing to do the math now - I don't have to do math - I'm not in school - at least that's what I tell my 9-year old when he wants help with math - he doesn't really need help.  He's just "math lazy" - kinda like his mom!!  All items on this card are from A Muse!

  16. Hi~

This is my first time visiting your blog! I saw your piece over at PDCC and loved it immediately. I love your copper flower. I used copper leaves...but had to email mine in because "inlinkz" wasn't taking my card. I am curious what the Damask Tape is? Is it what it sounds like? Tape with the b/w damask print on it? I would need to get some right away! I love it!
    Wonderful color design and layout!
