Reject - to refuse to to accept, consider, take for some purpose or use: REBUFF, REPEL. Tough to swallow but par for the course if you are trying to get cards submitted for publication. In fact, you should definitely check out this post by Damask Love (the Reject Blog Hop). Once you've visited this site and seen the amazing work that didn't make the cut this round of submissions to PaperCrafts then you know that you are in mighty fine company!! This particular card wasn't rejected from this call but from the one before this - and it's okay!! Those things happen -
Look at all the A Muse Studio goodness going on here - Stamps from Beautiful Botanicals 2 and Hand Scripted, the new Scallop Border Set dies, some twinkle stickers, new Latte woodgrain cardstock (LOVE this) and liberal spraying of the Stardust Finishing Spray. I even machine-stitched which is a huge big deal to me since I am not a sewer (a person who sews not to be confused with a pipe used for the removal of sewage). In fact, rejection makes the acceptances that much sweeter!!
If you are interested in learning more about A Muse Studio - be aware that I would NEVER reject you - just e-mail me at msmathey@gmail.com!!

A Muse Studio - You're in my thoughts
This card is a definite departure from my usual look - lots of PINK! I was just feeling "pink-ish" today - do you ever feel that way? For the most part I usually feel "peckish" but today it was definitely "pink-ish".
The A Muse Studio stamps are Ornate Elements, Vintage Labels and Monogram Frames. Extras include Washi Tape, Vintage Frames and Swallow dies plus some Diamond glitter.
I got the sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping's FTL130 and coupled that with the Less is More - Week 5 Pastel Colours Challenge.
LOOK what I got in the mail today!! WHOO HOO - I commented on this post where she showed a beautiful way to present her flower pin. In true Jen Shear's fashion she sent me an e-mail and asked me if I'd like for her to stamp some up for me! I'm no dummy - I said yes and so she sent me an adorable card with these tags in it. Don't my flowers look pretty on there? THANKS, Jen!!

A Muse Studio - U CAN DO IT!
Masculine cards can be difficult, yup. The new A Muse Studio Clear Grunged Block Alphabet instantly gives you a masculine feel, well, not really YOU but the card, plus you can write whatever sentiment you want with an alphabet set! Embossing in white on gingham paper makes the encouraging message pop off the page.
Look close and you can see more Stardust Finishing Spray plus the addition of the use of the Star Trio dies and tiny dots/medium dots impression plate.

A Muse Studio - Thanks for brightening my day!!
FINALLY - I get to use my new A Muse Studio goodies on challenges!! I've been waiting for this day- Today's card is for three challenges - Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger Challenge (An Idea in Yellow), Play Date Cafe Challenge 71 (Black/White and a splash of color) and OLW43 (Shimmer, Not Glitter or Bling).
I love a top-folded card - such a great shape and one that you don't see too often on the card shelves. ALAS - The new A Muse Studio Scalloped Border Set (Page 99 of the 2011 Catalog and Inspiration Guide) is just a hair too wide to fit through my Cuttlebug - what to do, what to do? I found that if I angle the cardstock you can crank it just enough to cut the bottom border perfectly!
See that woodgrain impression plate - It is hands down one of my most favorite things in the new catalog!! It makes my creative parts tingle with joy!! Do you have Koh-i-noor pencils yet? I've had mine for the longest time - they are woodless so it is pure pigment all the way and such a deal ($17.95 - I've bought these pencils with odorless blending solution and stumps as gifts several times).
Last, but not least, do you see the glimmer on this card?! Nope, it isn't A Muse Shimmer Couture paper - it is Buttercup Petite Gingham paper cut and folded with the gingham to the inside. That amazing gleam comes from A Muse Studio Stardust Finishing Spray (page 93) - After impressing the woodgrain into the cover of my card a few squirts of the Stardust spray adds so much twinkle and shine!! WHOO HOO!

A Muse Studio - A brief note. . .
Have you been hearing all the buzz about A Muse Studio??!! Such exciting stuff - Here is a peek at the new catalog. I was so honored to get to be part of the Catalog Design Team - that means that I've had a chance to play with the new stamps for a few months now and I can't tell you how HAPPY they make me! The quality red rubber you love and expect from A Muse but cling mounted so storage is a breeze! PLUS new border and image custom dies, impression plates, new ribbon, buttons and ink - and that's just scratching the surface!!
This card utilized the Mad for Plaids and Hey, Man! stamp sets and the Pinking Border set of dies. Stamping my own background was fun!! I can't wait to share more with you -
My A Muse Studio online store will be open in April but if you can't wait in the meantime to get your hands on some of this fabulous A Muse Studio goodness be sure and e-mail me to have a Customer Order delivered right to your home. If you want to book a workshop or even become an A Muse Studio Consultant I'd love to hear from you! msmathey@gmail.com
