Bird Brain -

She laughed when the bluebird of happiness landed on her noggin - maybe this will be a good year after all. . .
Got a new Strathmore soft cover art journal with "toned tan" pages in it!  It's rather small - 5.5" x 8" and I am envisioning lots of inky drawings in it over 2015.

I love your bird brain, Michelle. SO cute! Is that brown parchment paper your sketching on? Do you always sketch with a pen? I find it intimidating but maybe that should be a monthly goal for me? :)

This is beautiful! I love the hair and the bird feathers. Do you often use toned tan paper? I've been curious about it, but I wasn't sure if I was ready to commit to a full book just yet.

Adorable. Beautiful illustration and i love that little touch of blue in the bird. And what a GREAT gift! I'd love to draw on tan paper. Never tried it but i love the look. Happy art making, and HAPPY NEW YEAR my friend! xx
