"Funny how people always seem to remember me for my fabulous mane rather than my fabulous brain", sighed Maria wistfully.
This silly girl was inspired by the Teesha Moore fun drawing lesson that Kristin Dudish is featuring for her next Tutorial Try-out. Brown is my favorite color (yup, I'm weird that way) and when I found a brown pen at my mom's house one day, I compulsively swiped it for my own nefarious plans!!
LOOK - the peonies are starting to bloom in the yard - my favorite time of the year!!

Your girl in brown pen is very cute. Nice job and your peonie is very nice. HPPF!
What a cute girl! Peonie's are just starting to come up right now in our area. Late start this year. Brown is a great color!! My mother use to say that Off White was her favorite color. She was an amazing artist! It is good to be different!
well done on the swiping... I totally approve of such actions for artistic endeavors... but the peonies are glorious... like seriously glorious... could look at a whole post of them... have you ever drawn or painted them???? xx
Oh, I like the expression on her face. perfect for that quote!
Delightful!!!
I have 1 peony bush and love the first blooms, thanks for the pics!!
Your nefarious plans became a delight for the eyes! I love that brown you have used and her hair!

What a fun drawing - brown is a perfectly good color for drawing - a lot softer than black for a whole different look. It's not swiping if you found it a mom's - LOL. Peonies are a favorite of mine - however, the deer love them too! HPPF
I WANT HER HAIR! :)
I love maria and herfabulous mane! I too have been know to swipe the occasional pen from family! x
Maria is great and her hair is fantastic! I just bought three brown pens. I better keep an eye on them!
Love the peonies...I miss them. We don't have them here.
fun post - I love to use brown pens!
Love the brown and the girl with hair and all the rest of her! And isn't it sad how we often are reduced to the looks?
Wonderful peony, it will take ours at least a month, before we have any blooming peonies in the garden!
Happy PPF,
Ilona :-)
Your plans are good plans! The brown looks fantastic on the kraft. My hair is curly, but not THIS curly! I love the spirals. What a lovely face you have drawn and I love that you were able to create this within a class...just very cool indeed!
Love it! Her hair reminds me of spaghetti. :)
I love interpretations of Maria and yours is wonderful, Happy PPF
A great way to use Teesha's tutorial. I love the way you have used spirals for her curly hair. I'm sure I shall remember her her for her hair too, so apologise to her for me.
I just couldn't think of a way of using the tutorial this week, so I passed, chicken that I am.
Maria's mane really is fabulous! And, she looks great in brown - hooray for the great pen heist! ;)
I am loving that even though we all use the same tutorials, all the results we each get are uniquely "us"... Very cool!
