Balloon Girl
Here's a quick look at a card that will be featured in the upcoming Copic Basic & Airbrushing class (10/07/09).
I decided to copy Becky Rusher's signature soft look for this card - Mandy is so sweet colored with pale Copics and then faded to white - sparkly white paper makes the perfect clouds. (Happy Anniversary, Becky & Al).
Stamps - A Muse 1-6135J Balloon Girl, 8-8565B Little Fun Today
Paper - A Muse 4b notecard in Sky Blue, Doodlebug Design Bon Bon Sugarcoated Cardstock
Ink - Momento dye ink in Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Scalloped Oval Marvy Uchida Punch, Copic Markers
Here's a card I put together yesterday - I'm trying to do some different things with my Copics. This is a retired image from Stampin' Up! I love that little bird - used lots of different colors and then cut out and embossed with Nestabilities. Look at that soft edge - I used the Tim Holtz (Inkssentials) foam tool and Old Paper distressed ink. HOW did I ever stamp so long without this tool - It makes the PERFECT sponged edge!! LOVE this! Naturally, if you'd like one of your own, you can find it at Serendipity!!

Frame It! class rescheduled -
NOTE - 9/23's class has been moved to this Wednesday, 9/30 at 10:30AM.
Connor is on the mend - he's got all his books and schoolwork scattered about. He's staying home one more day to make sure he's up to par but should be back to school on Monday. Meanwhile my life has become very unstructured and more than a little scattered but the show must go on! Tomorrow night is class night and I'll admit it -I love every card in this class! I'm usually much more muted in choice of color so this particular card is very vibrant for me but I'm proud of how I've stepped out of the box for this one. Framing a scene is the focus of this class and it is easy with this new WOOD FRAME stamp. We will use backwards masking to make sure nothing goes past the framed section - if that technique doesn't sound familiar to you hurry and sign up for this class - we'll have lots of fun making this card and 4 others!
Stamps - A Muse 2-5064J Wood Frame, 2-4124B Song bird, 7-4102C Tree Stump, 9-8414B Sittin' here
Paper - A Muse orange gingham paper, Prima Signs of Spring patterned paper
Ink - Momento dye ink in Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copic markers

Life happens - - -
My older son Connor came home from school yesterday with a 102F temperature. He still has a fever tonight. Therefore my "Frame It" class for tomorrow will be rescheduled - SORRY to do that but a sick kid needs mom (plus I don't want to expose anyone else unnecessarily). The doctor said it was too early to tell if it is swine flu but when I got too close and he coughed directly into my eyeball last night I can tell you I am certainly hoping that it is not!! (I swear my eye is still twitching today!) I'll let you know as soon as we have a rescheduled date.

Sneak Peek - Frame it! class
Time sure does fly - I just realized that it is only 3 days until my A Muse "Frame it" class on Wednesday. Remember, we changed the time to 10:30AM cause we all start getting really hungry doing all that hard stamping and coloring, right? Here's a sneak of one of the five cards we will be making. This is Caleb's favorite card I've made of all time - at least that is what he insisted that afternoon. Gotta admit - that worm is mighty cute - The frame is cut from A Muse Woodgrain paper at one time with two Nestabilities. New red polka dot ribbon too!! SO cute!
Stamps- A Muse 7-4072b Caterpillar, 3-4159c Solid Apple, 8-8540b Mama said
Paper - A Muse 4b card in Fern, A Muse Woodgrain paper
Ink - Momento Ink in Ladybug, Rich Cocoa
Accessories- A Muse red polka dot ribbon, Nestabilities, Koh-i-noor colored pencils, popdot

CAS32 - AMuse Wedding
This is a card I made some time ago but it fit the challenge so I'm uploading it anyway. I really like how the "busy-ness" of the paper (LOVE this Cloud 9 paper - I'm hoarding my few remaining sheets!) contrasts with the simplicity of the A Muse Bride & Groom stamp (2-1035D). I cut and embossed the main image with my Nestabilities. Used a little Gelly Roll on her dress to sparkle it up and finished! All cards should be this easy!

Serendipity Papercrafting Kit
Here's another look at some things I've crafted with the Serendipity Papercrafting Kit. I've really enjoyed playing with all the elements in this great kit! While I was working on my anniversary mini album, I kept to the wedding theme and made a couple of cards. The Bazzill Swiss Dot paper is so easy to work with - you get the raised dots but they aren't so textured that it is difficult to stamp on - I used my Heart Nestabilities to cut and emboss several hearts from patterned paper. A touch of bling and some ribbon and these cards are complete - The Mr & Mrs stamp is from A Muse (9-8549C). I've been on a big stationery kick for a couple years now - in fact for teacher's gifts I made several of these desk sets back in May. I changed it up a little bit by putting the paper in "backwards" from how I've done it in the past - PLUS I didn't stamp these at all. Printed on the computer, cut up and added the paper strips to the bottom and I was done -

Sneak Peek - Copics and Airbrushing!
Ever since I airbrushed my shoes I've been thinking about a class with the Copic ABS (air brush system). Airbrushing opens up all kinds of great crafting areas/ideas - This card is one that we will be making in class - I airbrushed over an Impressabilities die from Spellbinders. I love that this card is so soft and pretty while still being crisp and graphic. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at airbrushing than this is the class for you!! I'll be teaching it on Saturday at Serendipity and again in October - look at my sidebar for class times and the number to call Kim to register. We'll also be reviewing basic Copic information so this class will be great for ones who've never used Copics and for those who are ready for the next step!
Stamps - A Muse Trees 1 acrylic stamps, 9-8230C Road to Friend
Ink - Momento Tuxedo Black
Paper - A Muse 4b Latte notecard, white cardstock, black cardstock
Accessories - Copic Airbrush, G82 Copic Marker, A Muse Stitched Black Ribbon, Impressabilities metal die

Serendipity Blog Hop!!
Time for another look at the wonderful paperkit being featured at Serendipity! This kit will be available through the end of this month - I'd jump quick if I were you and snatch one up before they are gone!Tuesday was our 19th wedding anniversary! While it doesn't seem like yesterday that we got married it certainly doesn't feel like nearly two decades have passed since we said, "I do." I've been a big admirer of Becky Rusher's mini albums (winter mini album, teapot album, special delivery) for some time and thought that this would be a perfect project for this paper.
Have you guessed what the pages are made from yet? Toilet paper rolls! Love it - the shipping tag fits right in there just perfectly once you've trimmed off about 1/2" - 3/4" from the end. I covered the paper seam with 1/4" Scor-Tape and the silver glass glitter (I'm addicted to that stuff!)
Look at the beautiful flowers Corey brought home for me! Even though our anniversary was 3 days ago the celebrations start tonight - the kids are at mom/dad's for the weekend and we have plans for some alone time!
Be sure and check out Kim and Roni's blogs for more inspiration!!
I replaced the twine on the tags with ivory velvet rickrack and A Muse ribbon from the kit. Added a few A Muse stamps and bound the whole thing together with my BIA.
