This week's topic at Illustration Friday is RETRO so I took my gouache and started painting.
Took some motifs from the 50's and twisted them up with my own interpretation. Love yellow ochre as the background - I would totally wear a skirt with this pattern.

I love this abstract pattern...I too would wear the pattern...not that color since it doesn't go with my skin...but I love it very much!

Wow, love it! It reminds me of some curtains we sold in our curtain shop some years ago. Yellow ochre and black is a striking combo.
Oh yes very retro. Great choice of colours Yellow ochre is one on my fave colours.
Love the combination of the warm ochre (beautiful colour btw!) and the black and white. Very nice pattern you created!
I absolutely agree. This beautiful painting would make a wonderful fabric material.
Michele this is fab, or groovey or is the right word hip? LOL what ever I love this. You did such a great job. I too would like this in fabric. I would make a long summer dress out of it.
Have a great weekend
