working on my own grass

Our oldest graduates from high school a week from today - where did the time go??  I'm not going to say it seems like yesterday that we brought him home but I will admit that the years have certainly gone more quickly than I expected.  In the meantime, I'm in a frenzy of activity to prepare for family arriving and graduation parties to commence.
This girl looks calm and contented and that's what I am going to aim for during this busy time.

Hi Michelle,
wow oh wow - she is so very beautiful, most definitely serene and laid back too. I envy your skill with paint and brush - I'm only just starting out and this week I've graduated to watercolour pencils after just using pencils.
I just wanted to pop over and say thank you - I've not long been drawing my 'lovely ladies' and any compliments are always very treasured and very much appreciated so thank you very much. I have had a good look at your beautiful ladies and they are fantastic! Especially love how you've coloured this one's hair - I'm going to have to practise to get anywhere near your skills. Thank you so much and ttfn Karen x

So beautiful! The quote is something I will have to remember…so true. Your painting looks so serene and peaceful. Hope you can keep that sense as you have a busy time ahead.
