SOC2 - Hot Pink and Orange

I am not a huge fan of pink - however, I do have an affinity for orange.  This week's color combo for the Summer of Color 3 (Week 2) is Orange and Hot Pink.  Therefore, there are several shades of orange in her hair but only one shade of pink - I only have one Magenta NeoColor crayon.
There have been several times lately that a soft pretty pink would've come in handy - guess I will have to break down and get more colors!  Quirky book quotes and Washi tape (no, I did not buy pink Washi tape - it was part of the supplies I was given for a design commission some time back) finish up this girl that is eye-less for no particular reason.
Does it mean something creepy if you leave the eyes out?  I hope not. . .  Here are links to  a couple of my favorite cards that were made with this color combo - Bling-y Butterfly

Your Journal page is wonderful, dear Michelle. I love this color combo with a "smaller" pink. I am also an orange fan :)

I'm not a big pink fan either, but you definitely pulled it off! I love the graphicness of this, and the contrast.

Wish I could paint like that. I love the varied shades of orange with just one shade of pink. Very effective and a great little piece of art!

Maybe there are no eyes because she didn't want to see the pink ... Love your girl ...

I think this is intriguing without the eyes. Love that the focus is on the lines and shapes and patterns of her hair!

This is beautiful. You make pink look positively wonderful as it enhances the orange.

Love that orange and pink. I think leaving the eyes off makes her mysterious...which is how we feel some days. Thanks for sharing! --Sandy Leigh

I am not a pink girl either, but that combination is really appealing! There is nothing creepy about leaving out the eyes, i created an entire end of school project where my people had no faces!!
Lovely painting x

I love how you have used the colours for her hair. I think not having any eyes makes her intriguing :)

Beautiful orage-pink haired girl with no eyes...well probably she can see all her world in her heart! I love the balance of colors you have used!

Oh my gosh. I love this. She does not look creepy at all with no eyes. I was so captivated by her hair, that I barely noticed her lack of eyes!! :)

I used to be like you with pink but lately hav e growsn to love it especially combined with either yellow or orange. Your girl is wonderful, and I like her with no eyes, it is other worldly.

Wow! I love her! I'm actually a huge fan of pink & I'm really lovin the orange, I think they are a perfect combo! I think her two toned lipsick is just really perfect and that is what I was drawn to and didn't even realize about her eyes until I started reading comments! :) Michelle

Love this! I was never a fan a pink either, but my pink-loving 6 year old has worn me down. Definitely need to get some pink supplies (and now kicking myself for not thinking to use my hot pink washi tape!)

Oh, I LOVE the omission of the eyes here - it's such a cool and unique look - especially with those really fab lips :) AND the addition of the one pink color really works, this is just beautiful, xoxo

Do you think she can rub off the pink color? Or maybe, she'll be pink all over, after the rubbing ;-) She looks great! I love the hair style.

So funny! I don't like pink either, generally, but pink and orange is so lovely and summery! The hair (and lips) are so pretty!

I don't think it's creepy to leave out the eyes, at least in this case. But sometimes!

Love the curvy harmonious composition. And your usual spots reflecting the swirls. Thanks for sharing on Mandarin Orange Monday:)
