Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty is not something that I would ever encounter being a mom of two boys if it weren't for my niece, Stella.

She and I had a great time sketching together - Her kitty looks like a super model!! 

Here is Stella sporting not only her Hello Kitty umbrella but also a Hello Kitty hair bow.

Dish cloths. . .

Desperately trying to squeeze in some time to finish up a set of dish cloths for my mother-in-law before they leave.  The bottom two are knitted.  Knitting is a really slow process for me although I definitely enjoy the look that it gives (do you see the "monkey sock" yarn?  LOVE it).  The top two are crocheted - they whip up with lightning speed.

Tired critter!

This (me) is one tired, cranky creature - still coughing despite days of antibiotics.  I was trying to go for the cute sock monster look but it turned out a bit too menacing, don't ya think?

My in-laws just arrived this AM from Florida and we WILL have a good time no matter how I feel physically but it would be so much easier if the coughing would just let up and I could get a decent night's rest!!

Yellow Ochre Girl

Her favorite color was Yellow Ochre - NOT Mustard as so many people blithely assumed.

Still coughing which is contributing to the melancholy look to this girl  Got some antibiotics from the doctor today so it shouldn't be long until I am in tip-top shape again.   

This piece was inspired by the work of Sarah Wyman - amazing artist.
