PDCC#35 - Weathered chairs

I based this card on the color challenge found below - The Play Date Cafe Challenge - 35.
I was struck by the weather-beaten look of those old chairs and the wood behind them. Looks way cool in a picture - maybe not so cool if they were in your backyard - I keep thinking "paint splinters" - plus, metal chairs get super HOT in the summer. . . YOUCH!!
I punched a hole in the cardfront so the metal flower is actually on the inside of the card - fun way to add some dimension. After taping the strips of colored cardstock together, I ran them through the Cuttlebug with one of my new Tim Holtz embossing folders and then randomly inked the top with PTI Vintage Cream and Tie Dye inks. Love the worn look it gives! Sentiment is from A Muse.
Finished off with my EKSuccess border punch - can you believe how the "hills and valleys" perfectly matched the strips of paper?! That was a serendipitous moment! Hope you have had a great weekend!

This is fabulous! The texturing/inking of the CS strips is wonderful! BTW - love the bad pun that is your blog title!

This is terrific! What are the odds that punch would line up so perfectly? If you'd tried to do that it would've taken hours!!!! Love your take on the photo- and the vintage look to the paper is awesome!
(I have a friend that just bought these type of chairs & had them sandblasted & powdercoated pink! I know- not your color- but fun! I think they sit in the morning sun...)
