CPS207 - Academy Awards

Quick post tonight because we are busy watching the Oscars (so very, VERY boring tonight- let's have Hugh Jackman again next year - 'kay?  Besides, you mean to tell me that the lady that took out ads to win the Oscar had no speech?!)  Enough of that - this card is based on the current sketch from Card Positioning Systems and the 3 squares challenge from Less is More - Frankly, this card reminds me of tonight's Academy Awards - it has some glitz (pearls and silk ribbon) but nothing really that special - maybe it was enough to be nominated. . .

Awww, it's not THAT boring. But ITA that the best supporting actress should totally not have won, and she should have had a speech. NOT a class act.

FAB card!

I would like to thank the academy...for your card! It sparkles! I'm watching too, and Anne Hathaway is doing a great job! Kirk Douglas stole the show though!

Very nice. Very different and nice! Loved your coverage of Oscars, since we don't watch TV. I did see Black Swan and boy has she come a long way since Star Wars...
Thanks for great ideas!

Interesting mixture in this card Michele... the rough of the hessian (burlap in the US) and the smooth silkiness of the ribbon... but it works.
Thanks for joining us.
See you next time.

FAB card Michelle. I love the hessian and squares. It;s slightly less CAS 'white background' than our guidelines..but it works!
Thank you!

See you again
