Face Value Girl

In the absence of evidence to the contrary,
people are inclined to take you at your face value.
A conversation between me and myself:
ME - I love making squiggly lines with India Ink!
MYSELF - Of course you do - it is loads of fun!
ME - I think I will make squiggly lines directly on her face and not just her hair and the background.
MYSELF - Maybe you should rethink that idea - may be a bit too much squiggly for this girl. . .
ME - Nope!  There is no such thing as too much squiggly!
Time passes while too much squiggly is added to picture. . .
ME - Maybe I will listen to MYSELF next time!!

I like this face with the squiggly lines. When the inner voice is calling for squiggles, I tend to listen! :) I've been admiring your work on Flickr for awhile now. 'Glad to find you here at your blog, too!!

Actually I love the squiggly - she looks like she's painted on the surface of an ancient vase dug up from some lost city and the lines are the tiny cracks in the pottery not on her face, if that makes sense! anyway, I love her! Happy Holidays!

I have never been brave enough to try India Ink, I have so many different art forms already... Is it really messy? That's my biggest deterrent. I am naturally messy, so i am sure I would spill all over myself!

Merry Christmas!
