The Introvert

A Facebook Friend posted a link today to an interesting article - "23 Signs You're Secretly an Introvert".  While I can appear to be outgoing, I definitely have hermit tendencies.  Between my job at work and my job as wife/mother I am outside of the house daily running errands, etc.  That makes my "alone" time that much more precious to me.  I guard it zealously - if I can bank on some alone time then I can schedule in other activities - if other activities preclude alone time I become unhappy.  My brother is the complete polar opposite of me - the more the merrier for him - he loves being in "the thick of things" at all times.  Where in the spectrum do you land?  Introvert or Extrovert?
Check out that cool yellow label - came inside a calligraphy pen I ordered filled with India Ink - will not smear - Love it!!  I'm going to have to order more with different sized nibs!

For me, I think it is depending on where I am. I love people, I get energy from groups, but if it is only strangers, I have to wait to test the waters sort of speak.
Very nice pages! What pens did you use? I'm always in the look for trying new stuff :oD

I'm definitely an introvert, and I think introverts are still constantly underestimated. Beautiful page, love the colours and the composition.

It is interesting that the people responding seem to be introverts, which I can totally relate to. It depends on the situation for me and who I am with. Sometimes I can talk up a storm, but most times I am a very good listener and am always processing and analyzing what others are saying. I mostly like being alone...I am a big reflector! I continue to enjoy seeing your process and admire your ideas and art.

Your journal page is neat. Let us know how the pen turns out for your drawing. I am very definitely an introvert.

How funny - I ready the same article today. I told my husband that I am a personality mutt - some strong extrovert qualities (which I knew from life and other surveys) but I have a heck of a lot of those introverted qualities. This is different from my husband who is a pedigree introvert. I don't think he has one quality of a extrovert. Enough of that - love that journal page. I've never used a pen with nibs for drawing. One day I'll have to try.

Introverts are so wonderful and I'm not just saying so because I am one. It takes a lot of alone time to create such beautiful works. I'm glad we have the means to share all this creativity.

Oh I could have written this verbatim.. seriously feel exactly like you!! My kids were away for a few days and I thought I would have total alone time...kept talking about it and next thing I knew I was baby sitting a dog...and my brother is exactly like yours...it makes me tired thinking about it!! Introvert yet I am able to be very social in certain situation..but having taken the quiz years ago it came out introvert. I love my own company. Inspiring post...LOVE the artwork!!

LOve your beautiful lady. I'm like that as well, I may appear outgoing and love having people around, but I do actualy need some time-out here and there. I now use my journalling as my way around that one and this seems to work fine =)

Beautiful page! I have discovered my "introvertedness" in the past few years also. I have acted more like an extrovert for most of my life out of necessity - job, life circumstances - but found I was so drained after spending a lot of time with people. Connecting with being an introvert has helped me budget my time and guard downtime and has been very healthy for me. Thanks for this post!
