Spring Girl. . .

FINALLY!!  Spring has arrived - not only because they said it on the news. . .
but also because daffodils are growing in our yard.
After the winter we've had the bright yellow blooms are more welcome than ever!
Soon lawnmowers will be filling the air with the aroma of cut grass -
one of my most favorite scents -
closely followed by the fragrance of grilling. . .
which is even better when the grill is in my backyard!
Enjoy your weekend!

It is great to see how other people develop characters in paintings. I really enjoyed seeing each layer.

Yay for spring! We have at least another 2 months to go, so I'm going to sit here quietly and be envious of your daffodils. ;)

Your lovely lady has such an old masters look to her, very nice job.

Beautiful artwork! Thank you for your inspiration. Just learning to do faces and often stop before I like it---you inspire me to keep going until I like it.

A beauty! I love these greens and the red-brown hair. She is so pretty and maybe just a bit wistful. :)
