Kristin posted the Week One colors for the Summer of Color Challenge on Monday and now, three days later, there are already 64 linkups!! Yup, this is a fun summer party!
The featured colors are turquoise and yellow with a splash of pink. I envisioned these colors in stripes because of a summer polo shirt I have. Perfect for canoeing down the river like the people in my repurposed book!
This girl is gesso white but she still probably has more color than me - I usually win all "pale" contests in the summer! It was never fun to win the "whitest legs" when I was young but I'm banking on less wrinkles as I'm growing older. . . hopefully!

This reminds me of the beach somehow. Very summer-y :-)
Beautiful, I especially love the use of a greenish blue towards the lemon yellow and the pink challenging them. Lovely work.

She is strong and so well painted. I will try to get in on the SOC this week. Not much time for me.

Great page and love the qhote (isn't that the truth!?). Being pigment-challenged myself I had a good laugh at your comments around this lady's complextion!
Love, love, love those colors! They really speak of summer, don't they?! And I know all about being pale in the summer. Everyone in my family got tan, but I burned and peeled... Now I mostly stay out of the sun. Your girl is beautiful!! xoxo Silke
Love the summery composition with the stripes. Pale is good ,coming from Scotland I am bound to say that but it is true. :)
