I'm currently taking Alisa Burke's Flower Power class. Alisa is an amazing artist who does incredible watercolor work in her art journals.
She is all about utilizing economical supplies to bring the essence of things to life. In this particular class the emphasis is on flowers.
I doodled a stylized flower all over a page in my journal using a ZEBRA gel pen. Love those gel pens!! They glide super smoothly, are a very dark black and are waterproof once dry. The only drawback is that they run out of ink pretty quickly.
How often can you say you've used up an entire pen though? With ballpoint pens it can take forever but with these pens you can use one up within a few days. Frustrating if you are in the middle of a sketch and run flap out of ink though!!

That's such a pretty floral pattern. I can visualize it as a paper of fabric print. Blessings!
Beautiful! I wanted to take that class, too. My time is a bit short right now, but it's still on my wishlist. :-)
This is beautiful ... I love how you coloured them in. Is this on watercolour paper?

So pretty! Alisa's classes are always fun.
I love what you are creating in Alisha's class!
So pretty...the flowers look so delicate.
your sketch seems very precise, doesn't look like a sketch at all but that's good. I wish I could be as neat as you. & I like your use of colors. I always find I used too many colors.
hope you have a great day.
Michelle, this is absolutely wonderful. I LOVE your flower power. Made my heart smile tonight. :)
this is pretty! I love your page
Wow, those flowers are so fun and happy! The little hints of orange are just perfect.
Those flowers would look lovely on fabric, love them Michelle!
(shame that the pens are so short-lived, though)
