She was "a badly cared-for cut flower"

"to his taste she was much too thin, though pretty in an aggressive yet tired way, like a badly cared-for cut flower"
Love these book quotes - I'd tell you which book I cut it from but I'm not sure anymore - I've gathered lots of fun passages to adorn my girls - a bit of vintage wallpaper adds  some oomph as well. . .

Oh I love her. The quote goes so well with her too. She does look pretty and a bit tired. I really need to go to a second-hand bookshop to find some quotes like that. Love them!

Michelle, i love where you're going with these girls... SO much emotion in these works. I love that you use quotes too. 2 of my favourite things: quotes and women. (not that i don't like men, but let's face it, they can be a pain in the ass sometimes...) ;-)
