This girl was painted directly onto a background that I had made some time back. For fun I had squirted some acrylic paint onto my paper and then moved/scraped it around with an old credit card. The colors were kept separate but still mingled in an fun way. Digging in my stash of partly finished projects has been very helpful in making a face everyday. No time for painting backgrounds and then faces on top -
I had intended for the background to show through more in her skin but there saw a big smear of turquoise the made her look kinda sickly and that would never do!! You can see purple peeking through on her neck though.
This particular girl is my husband's favorite. When asked why he replied, "She is very attractive - has pretty hair, pretty eyes, pretty lips. She looks like a Scandinavian Princess." Corey is always very descriptive with his commentary - hee hee.

I love all your fabulous faces ...great!
i think she is very attractive, too. i was thinking more angelic rather than scandinavian princess though :) I think the white around her is sort of like a halo. very nice!
Beautiful girl and lovely colours!
She is very pretty. The way you added colour to the background is a good way to cover an area quickly, I must give this a go! and it brings the whole picture together nicely. Great post
How pretty! That girl is lovely!
But she does have beautiful eyes ;) but I understand what you mean.. :))
A lovely piece of work this one, and exciting background also! I used an old credit card some time ago, it was quite fun! :)
She looks serene and beautiful! Love the background colors!
I'm catching up and enjoying all the faces you've been doing. I like that you're trying different things each day. And your husband is right...this girl is beautiful.
Love the faces. And love the various processes and descriptions
