AEDM (Day 14) - Blue Stag

Brace yourselves - time for another bug!  This one is some type of Blue Stag Beetle.
My mom saw the first bug and said that she'd enjoy some beetles for the office she and dad are remodeling at home.  Sure, I thought - two or three beetles would be fun to make.
Then mom told me she wanted four but on second thought maybe she really needed six (as my SIL advised) - Guess you'll be seeing more bugs for the next little while!

I really love your bugs. They remind me of the christmas beetles, with their beautiful iridescent shells, that come out just before christmas. (obviously ;) )

It's great that your mum wants to hang your art. (I think there is no one who is a better advocate for your art, than a supportive mum!) x

six will look amazing as a series... and these look horribly familiar... they are the same colour as what we call Christmas beetles... because they arrive around Christmas... they have huge fangy things like that and hang off the palm fronds... gross... but yours don't look gross... they look gorgeous.. might have to rethink my attitude to them this year now...xx
