PDCCC#45 - Handmade Flowers!

Well - We have been gone since Friday celebrating our anniversary - The kids stayed with Nana/Papa and Corey and I headed to St. Louis - we had a blast!  LOTS of fun - we ate too much, stayed up too late, lazed around in bed extravagantly and never once heard a complaint from the kiddos!  (Is it against the rules to have your anniversary once a month instead of once a year??!!)  Anyway - in case you are thinking I am some kind of amazing superwoman (you know better than that) I made this card before I left.
Don't you love this flower - the best part of all is that it is a pin - I attached it with removable adhesive so you could take it off and wear it on your shirt - I've been making lots of these lately and have already given away 9 of them to friends!  These colors come from the Play Date Cafe Challenge #45 and is based on Clean & Simple Stamping's FTL106.  Sentiment is from A Muse.
I have a hard time resisting the siren call of the computer but now I need to go tend to all the unpacking/laundry from all of us being gone for several days - A mother's work is never done!!  Hope you have had a great 3-day weekend!
BTW - Do you want one of these flowers?  Leave a comment and say whether you'd like the orange or red one and I'll pick a random number from the comments in a couple of days and I'll mail you a pin!!  THANKS for reading my blog!

Lovely card, the flower blossoms look beautiful on your embossed BG. Great idea to make them with pin backs so they can be removed. Thanks for playing at the PDCC.

Beautiful flower. Would love to win one. Have been seeing similar ones on tops. What's it made out of? Ribbon, fabric??

Definitely love the orange one. However, I basically stopped to ask you about the embossing on the card. What is it. I don't recall having seen this design before and it looks just great!

Those flowers are gorgeous, and more so now I know one is a pin. I think the orange one is my favourite. They look stunning on the textured background. Thanks so much for playing along at the play date cafe :)

This thumbnail just JUMPED out at me at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog, so I had to come get a closer look. BEAUTIFUL! Love all the texture, and those gorgeous flowers. Love them even more once I found out they were a pin -- how clever and unique!
(Orange is my new fav :-)

Your card looks amazing and I love your hand made flowers! Tough to choose but I think I would pick the orange since it is almost fall season :)

Super cute! Your blog is an endless source of inspiration for me, and I love to stop by! I love both of the flowers, but I am partial to the red one.

Hi Michele, I love the red flower. The color is so pretty. I also love the card and the embossing. What did you use to emboss the card? Alice Roushia

I love this card! I'm curious what embossing folder you used on the card? What did you make the flowers out of, paper? I like the red one better than the orange one, but they are both beautiful. By the way, our anniversaries are very close together. :) Hope you're week is going well. Talk to you soon!

Visiting via C&S...

Love your card and your fabric flowers. I just learned this technique from my friend Tresa.

Such a fun blog! Love the header! Hee hee! And nice to "meet" an A Muse team member. I live just outside Seattle and fall victim to the A Muse store quite often.
