AEDM (Day 4) - Antler Girl

"SHE WAS SHY AROUND ONES WHO DIDN'T APPRECIATE THE NOVELTY OF HAVING GROWN ANTLERS"
(Edited to add - I fixed her!!  I think the guidelines will make it easier for people who don't think/read like me to decipher her message)
See how her eyes are pointing at where you should start reading the words?  The placement made total sense to me but then again I am the type of person that gives a girl antlers so obviously my judgement should not be trusted.  When my husband and older son read it they started in the upper left-hand corner and read it like you would read a book - uh oh.
In case you were wondering the "antlers" are little wooden branches from Maya Road used for scrapbooking and cardmaking.   I've had them for some time and was trying to incorporate them into something when the Illustration Friday topic of SHY was revealed and I realized that growing antlers may make a girl shy. . . recognize the Citra Solv papers from yesterday's post?

yeah ... me too! Although I figured out to, at least, leave the three words on the left side out, and the sentence made sense. Then I figured "shy was she" was a zen koan or something.

But however a person looks at it, it's engaging. To me, a huge *LIKE*!

Love the image.

I'd have left the lines off and let people work it for themselves. Your art, your rules ;)

I love that quote you glued around her, lol! The guidelines might help some people I guess. I don't know how I would've read it, because I started reading right away where her eyes were looking, because that's one of the first things I read ... She does look a bit apprehensive ;-)

I'm with Nigel and would have let people sort it themselves but then I would find that funny... you are obviously nicer than I am!!!! I am liking the faces and the strong graphic quality!!!!
